I blame this post on Call of Duty.

Two posts in less than a week?!

SAY WHAAAAT?!

I guess that's what happens when your boyfriend and brother get addicted to Call of Duty...

Anyway...

I started my first day of work at Bath and Body Works today! It was a little overwhelming at first but I got the hang of it. I guess the real test will be BLACK FRIDAY! Yikes! The people there are really nice and helpful which was awesome.  I'm still technically hired at Macy's, but considering the fact that they have given me NO hours (literally) I don't know how long that will last. I was hired there last month but they messed up and entered into the computer that I wasn't supposed to be hired until December 10th. After about 2 weeks of phone calls (excuse me...ME PHONING THEM AND GETTING NO CALLS  BACK) they finally changed the system. By the way I found out that I wasn't technically hired there AFTER I trained so I wouldn't be surprised if I forgot everything I "learned."Then I go to log on to actually schedule myself and whatdya know...NO HOURS AVAILABLE. It's a little frustrating. Ok a lot frustrating. They called me into work today last minute but I was already working at Bath and Body so I had to say no. What are the chances that they would want me the DAY I was supposed to start working at Bath and Body. Ugh. I hope I (and by "I" I mean they) figure it out soon.

On another note...MY SISTER IS HAVING A BABY! This is old news but new news to my little bloggy. :) She's due in the beginning of February. AH! I CANNOT wait! Aubrey Kate Morgan...Aunt Megan is waiting for you so please incubate faster. Thank you.

Hmmm what else can I fill this white space with...? Well...for Halloween me and Kent put our costumes together totally last minute and this is what we came up with

And yes, those ARE Kent's PURPLE massage therapy scrubs. I can't believe I wore PURPLE! Ugh!

I find it funny that we waited so long to put our costumes together for several reasons.

1. Me and Kent are OBSESSED with Halloween
2. We literally looked at potential costumes everyday since about September. No joke.
3. (And this one is probably the funniest..well to me :P ) KENT WORKED AT SPIRIT HALLOWEEN STORE DURING OCTOBER, AND WOULD HAVE BEEN ABLE TO GET US DISCOUNTS ON OUR COSTUMES!

But did we buy costumes? No we did not.
Lame? Maybe. But our costumes were free and that's awesome for two broke college students.

Well til next time!

California!!!!!

Without further adieu...(ado? lol)

Ok so I finally have some time to write this blog post. Kent is watching a movie so I figured I'd "waste" my time blogging!

Before I go into our Cali trip, I just wanted to say how excited I am for the Gilbert temple! Kent and I went to the groundbreaking today and I just got so excited! It is truly a blessing to be able to drive (or even walk!) 5 minutes to see the temple...of course, that won't be for another few years but it's still exciting all the same. :)

Ok now for the California details.

We decided to go to California for Kent's birthday. We went last year and had a blast so we just KNEW we had to go again this year. I am thinking this is going to become a yearly trip because we really do have the best time! Being the penny pinching, coupon cutting, cheapskate that I am, I convinced Kent to start saving our pennies and dimes (literally) a few months before. He didn't need much convicing however because we are practically the same person. lol I think by the end we had saved over $100 just in coins! We also worked for ChaCha which banked us over $100 as well. For those of you who don't know, ChaCha is a texting service where people text ChaCha and people who work for ChaCha (Kent and myself) reply with their answer. We get about 10 cents per question we answer, which added up! It was very exciting! I also refuse to pay full price for almost anything so we bought our Disneyland tickets from a guy on ebay (we did it last year and saved 50 bucks per ticket). I also found a coupon on ebay that allowed us to buy our Six Flags tickets for $23.99 each instead of the $39.99 per ticket that it would have cost if we had booked without the coupon. I know I am a little coupon crazy but I CANNOT and WILL NOT pay full price if I don't have to. Why would I want to spend more money than I have to? Anyway, if you want any information or recommendations for Disneyland/Six Flags tickets...I'm your girl!
So we left very early on Saturday Morning (October 16th) and drove straight to Six Flags. We made it our goal to ride all of the roller coasters that we didn't get to ride last year. We did pretty good with that goal, but there are a few coasters that we have yet to hit. Next year ;)
Oh! So the highlight of our day at Six Flags was the Dive Devil. Oh my goodness it was so scary but SOOOO fun! Basically you and two other people (me, Kent's dad, and Kent) get harnessed together and raised 200 feet off the ground. At the top you hear "3-2-1 FLY!" and someone in your group has to pull the cord which releases you. I was the lucky one that was forced to pull the cord but I am so glad I did! You go plunging toward the ground and come within 8 feet of kissing the ground. It was AMAZING! I wanted to do it over and over again! Nothing can top that feeling of free falling! We have the video of it and it is so funny to watch! I screamed so loud that the guy in line behind us told me "Great scream!" HAHA. I highly recommend it!
After Six Flags we drove about an hour to Anaheim and checked into our ghetto fabulous hotel. Ok, it wasn't that bad I'm just being negative LOL.
We woke up very early the next morning, got ready, and went to DISNEYLAND! My favorite place in the world! Seriously, I spend HOURSSSSS researching Disneyland and I am not exaggerrating AT ALL! I just love the feeling you get at Disneyland- it's so magical! Call me cheesy I don't care! :P
I think one of my favorite parts of Disneyland was the MOnte Cristo sandwich. Me and Kent had been waiting 3 months to try it, and let me tell you, it was worth every penny! (And that's a lot of pennies considering it was EIGHTEEN BONES! YIKES!) The sandwich consists of ham, turkey, and swiss on bread that is lightly battered/fried with powdered sugar sprinkled on top. You dip it in this raspberry sauce and it is DEEEEEE-LISH! We also got the pomme frites and those were VERRRY good too! By the way, we ate at the Cafe Orleans which is the cheaper version of the Blue Bayou (the restaurant inside of Pirates of the Caribbean). At midnight, (the 18th) it was officially Kent's birthday so of course we had to get pictures of us in the first few minutes of his day. He is so lucky to get to spend his birthday in Disneyland!
I love Disneyland. I seriously wish I could go there everyday. I would not get sick of it. I especially love Disneyland at Halloween time- it is decorated SO cute. I LOVE how Disney does not forget any details.
After Disney, my feet had had it. I was so tired when we got back to the hotel that I didn't even wash my face or brush my teeth. I know, disgusting. And I am the kind of person who HAS to follow routine so breaking my routine of washing my face/brushing my teeth killed me inside. HAHA
The next day we kinda overslept (OOPS!) I only had a half hour to shower AND get ready which is near impossible for me to do so needless to say, I looked FABULOUS that day. I hope you sensed the sarcasm in that statement. lol.
That day we drove to LA and went to a salvadoran restaurant and ate PUPUSAS! Oh my goodness I was so excited for this. I really do think I was supposed to be salvadoran. After that, we went to Huntington beach which was one of the best parts of the trip. We ate at Ruby's at the end of the pier and saw a million sting rays in the water below. Sadly after that, we headed home. Sadly and reluctantly. :(
I loved this trip. Loved loved loved it! I am so grateful for Kent and his family and the sacrifices they made so we could go. I hope they know how thankful I am, and that I had the best time. I love them. They are one of the best, if not the best, families out there. :)

Now for the fun part. PICTURES!

Waiting in line for X2. Which is so fun!
This was actually supposed to post before the first picture but whatever. This was at Ihop on the way to Six Flags. I was so tired so please excuse my ugly face.
